Joan Jeptoo Kibichum is a human rights expert especially indigenous peoples’ rights and a gender champion from the Endorois Indigenous People of Baringo County in Kenya. She is a holder of a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication (Public Relations) from Daystar University, Kenya and a Master of Arts Degree in Communication (Corporate Communication) from the same university. She has over 3 years’ experience in social justice work, gender work, leadership, human rights activism, advocacy, community mobilization and climate change at local, regional and international levels. She is member of the Kenya Indigenous Youth Network. She has skills in communication, leadership, project development and implementation, networking and research. She has had the privilege of working with various indigenous communities in Kenya at different levels and she also loves sharing stories of change.
