Gillian Hamilton is an experienced sustainability and climate change consultant. As an analyst and advisor, she leverages a business and economics background and extensive experience in ‘making order from chaos’, developing strategy, plans, solutions as well as monitoring and evaluation. Gillian has over 20 years’ immersion in Development, Sustainability and Climate Change. She currently leads a civil society network in Africa focused on climate diplomacy, while working with The Green Connection and other NGOs in South Africa towards a Just Transition. She is the former Head of the Africa Climate Reality Project (Al Gore’s NPO). She trained as a Climate Leader through GIZ and The Climate Reality Project. Gillian holds a BPhil cum laude, MPhil Sustainable Development (Stellenbosch University) and a BCom (Pretoria University), BCom Hons Economics (University of Johannesburg) and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (Wits University).
